In Excel 2007 we have more space for our data. In 2003 version we had only 256 columns and 65 00 rows but in 2007 we have 16 000 and 1 milion rows! That is a lot of data. If you aren't a MS Access fan or you don't know how to use it- Excel 2007 gives you plenty space for your data base.

And what you need to make your data more funky? Yes, new Excel and new cool graphics that make your graphs and diagrams look more fancy, more professional or like Web 2.0 if you would like to set some Excel data in your website. It is easier to import external data into selected spreadsheet too.

You have to use pre-configured external source of information. Talking about more fancy graphics can be better or worse for office begginer or someone who is used to use Excel 2003. The interface of Excel 2007 is harder and different from 2003, mayby because of more features and some options are in different places then before. But don't lose your good attitude help section is easy to find and it has understandable tips how to use options and ofcorse wher to find them.

Like every new toy it has to be faster. Excel 2007 calculate speed is slightly faster than 2003, but it is not a bomb. When we talk about macro speed it even works slower sometimes especially when you use chart macros and macros that has to work with a lot of different data types. Even we have to say that charts are loading slower. There is a price for fancier graphics. But hey, even when it slower it has to make-up with someting. In Excel 2003 we had condiional formatting limited to 3 tests in 2007 many tests are allowed. When you are a color fan and 2003 is to limited for you we have a good news for you! Excel 2007 has unlimited colors!
