ACOS Function
|
|
ACOS function will return a arccosine of a number (value in radius). For reminding arccosine is the inverse function of the cosine (the angle that has a cosine equal to a given number). In this Excel function typed data has to be between (-1) and 1. Look at the example below. ACOS function Exercises1. Type different numbers from -1 to 1 in cell’s range from A1 to A6. At A7 use =ACOS(A3) then retype ACOS for =ACOS(A1). 2. Work at the database from exercise 1. Use ACOS function at C4 =ACOS(A5). Find out what would happen if you type use ACOS at empty cell for example =ACOS(A20) or =ACOS(F1). Is it the same like for zero value from the example above? 3. Try to use ACOS at the range of different cells, for example =ACOS(A1:A2) and now try to use false range- type range for the same cell =ACOS(A1:A1). It works? This is the only range option you can type with result instead of error and the =ACOS(A1:A1) returns the same like =ACOS(A1). ![]() Check all Beginner's Tips Learn how to use Excel functions and formulas in three steps of difficulty >> |
