|
|
ATANH is similar to ATAN but it returns the inverse hyperbolic tangent of a number, not the arctangent of a number (in radians). The element of this formula is only a number and it has to be between (-1) and 1 excluding them both. Let’s have a look at the example below and find out how does it work. ATANH function Exercises1. Type different numbers between (-1) and 1, excluding (-1) and 1 in cells from A1 to A5. At A6 use =ATANH(A3) formula 2. Work at the database from exercise 1, use =ATAN(B3). What is the result? It is the same result for empty cell like for 0 value cell? 3. Work at the database from exercise 1 and 2, use ATANH on normal range of cells =ATANH(A2:A3)and at fake range of cells =ATANH(A2:A2). ![]() Check all Beginner's Tips Learn how to use Excel functions and formulas in three steps of difficulty >> |
