Ceiling function returns a number rounded up based on a multiple of significance (it works at numbers that carry meaning contributing to its precision). The numbers you can use is all except zero and spurious digits. Maybe it’s not so simple to understand so let’s have a look at the example below.



In this Excel’s function we use 2 element number and significance.

In A4 cell we used =CEILING(A1,1) and the result was 211. When we change significance from 1 to 0,05 the result will be 210,7.
